Crafting Paper Roses 101
When: Thurs Aug 17. Doors at 7p. Event begins at 730p.
Who: Age 12 years and up. A crafting exercise for all levels.
Cost: Free RSVP here. Limited space. Suggested sliding scale donation of $10-$20 accepted on site. Cash or digital payment. All funds go directly to those leading the session.

What: Join me for this fun, hands-on workshop, where we will take precut pieces of paper & craft glue and make something beautiful: paper roses. You will learn basic paper crafting techniques, such as scoring leaves, and rolling & curling petals. Participants will be provided with enough materials to each make 6 paper roses, about 2 inches in diameter. This event is geared for ages 12 and up.

CAR. There is street parking. It is a residential neighborhood. Thursday and Friday are street cleaning days with parking restrictions between 1230p-330p. If you find parking limited outside the space, please try Brush St. It is the street at the end of the block. Do NOT leave any valuables in your car.
BART. NewNow is a 10-12 minute walk from 19th Street Oakland BART. Arriving from San Francisco, you may prefer to take the first stop (West Oakland) and take a 5 minute LYFT or bike from there. The shortest distance to walk is from 19th St. BART.
BIKE. Bring your bike into NewNow. There is a secure area in the backyard. -
NewNow is a blue-gray building at the corner of 21st and West. There is no outside building signage. There is one 4 inch step into the space and two 4 inch steps down into the backyard.
